European Commissioner for Energy and Housing Dan Jorgensen stated in an interview with Le Monde that the war in the Middle East is causing a price crisis in Europe, but not a supply crisis. The Danish Social Democrat believes that the deployment of renewable energy and electricity interconnections between European countries must be accelerated.
